so i'm overweight and have some health problems that would benefit from slimming down and eating well. i made major changes in my diet to pm only eating healthy food and i began slimming down. but this past week or so i've been depressed and sick. i go into the kitchen for food and most things have to be prepared but i just don't have it in me to bother so i just walk away and go back to detaching from life. i saw my therapist and i didn't get the usual support and insight. instead she wants me to find someone i can afford to see more often. she's right but that's made me more depressed tbh. i'm losing like half a pound a day rn and while i can afford to lose a lot of pounds i'm concerned this may aggravate some of my health problems bc i'm not getting much of any nutrition to help. i was really hoping seeing my therapist would be helpful but it wasn't and i'm stuck looking around for other therapists and support groups. but i'm just so overwhelmed and exhausted by other things that it's adding to my problems. i don't think she realized her well meaning and good suggestions could backfire a bit. basically she ended things with "try to look into these things and get back to me and we can do a final session for closure here." it wasn't quite final that we would end our therapy together but it was next to it. i feel like i don't really have her as my support line anymore and i need that. even if it's not enough i need to feel like i have someone i can go to and i'm not really feeling that anymore and she was the only person i had. it just sucks. i feel worse off and insecure just keeping up our monthly sessions when she talked to me like that. like i'm back to having nobody and rn now i really need somebody. /sigh

tl;dr: life sucks. my therapist wants to end things. i'm too exhausted to look for anyone else or bother eating. i feel alone in my struggles again and worried about my health.

anon just take it one day at a time. do you attend college/uni? if you do then def go into your registrar/counsellors and tell that everything and anything.

if not then focus on slowing down and taking it one day at a time. force yourself to go on a walk every day to remove yourself from your typical environments, find a coffee shop/library place and take some time to just chill there.

i had no money and lots of issues a while back and just dedicating sometime to removing yourself from your 'normal' environments can do wonders. if you do it regularly enough you might also end up with someone to talk that isnt relevant to your normal daily life.
