ppl have just gone for too long without real srs shit to worry about + have gone through childhood being told "everyone is great and unique" + the current "everything is problematic" mood of academia/internet = the current mass of obtuse 'progressives'

ia, a lot of aspects can be good like actually recognizing real problems and issues of inequality and systematic prejudices today but more and more it's been manifesting itself so negatively and nonsensically. seems like people just want to yell about something under the guise of "i'm being progressive" when they have no idea what they're yelling about

ive seen the term 'regressive left' starting to gain traction in certain articles/discussion and tbh for a certain group of ppl it fits really well. ppl are so desperate to gain brownie points they dont realize the consequences of the shit they preach

true it's really sad to see what "social justice" has become in recent years, people would rather yell about the latest tumblr sjw fad than actually educate themselves on issues
