I have always wondered where people like BoA, tvxq, hyo, yuri can move. Legendary artists but not necessarily have thriving solo careers but enough to sustain. Will they go to small companies or start their own? They definitely have the money to.

out of those, tvxq probably are the most successful and can sustain themselves. sm pushed hyoyeon multiple times but her solo career hasn't been a hit.

nah sm doesn't promote hyo at all. she has to do most of it herself

boa was smart to do dancing sisters and position herself as a legend with nothing to prove. i think she's clearly trying to go for an uhm junghwa like career but she has more power at sm than the typical idol that makes it worthwhile to stay

I feel like changmin can leave. Not sure about yunho. That scandal seems to have limited his variety appearances. But their loyalty was to lsm, so they are free to leave
