tbf vet prices are outrageous. i had to take my cat to the emergency vet last month and it was either almost 1k for we did shit besides bloodwork and give her some fluids or up to 4k to maybe see what was actually wrong with her. and she died the next day at home so it was ultimately pointless anyway besides maybe delaying it happening for less than 24 hours
