it's honestly amazing how in one episode it went from the thing to absolutely nothing. all becomes those talentless hacks were salivating at disney money, which they lost anyways. to be a fly on the wall when hbo suits got wind of the backlash

some things in the early seasons were better than in the book, but now i think it was mostly the actors who were making it better

there were only a handful of decent actors in the show and only a fraction of them had major roles

joffrey, jorah, olenna, margery, tywin

i'd only count 2 of those and neither of them are major roles

the casting was doing more work in the rest than acting and we're ignoring that most of the series was starks and dany, where acting skill was pretty much non-existent

you brought major roles into the conversation idiot, not me so why are you trying to use major parts as an argument against my correct point?

so your point is the show was made by actors in minor roles?

anyway, it was always a mediocre show that thrived on edginess and good worldbuilding, both from the book and the visuals created in the show excluding the last episode, that had the plot run away from it in the end. the acting ranged from ok to atrocious, especially for the characters that spent the most time on screen.

i never watched it, why was the ending so bad? or is it something you have to watch to understand?

da it wasn't just the last episode, the last 2 seasons were bad but the last episode was incredibly bad. there's lots of fan videos about it like this

the anti slavery queen got mad and killed off an entire city

the thing that annoyed me about that the most was how much foreshadowing there was throughout the whole show that she was going to turn mad and yet they STILL managed to get there so lazily and poorly, i've read fanfics with better build up lol

the show was never really good, but the last several episodes were not at all emotionally satisfying and failed on a lot of the things the show did well before like staging dramatic battle scenes, making a fantasy setting feel real, and having characters do painfully stupid things but in a way that made sense and wasn't just convenient for the plot
