nope, i was an army at the time and i don't remember it going down like that. most kpop stans got mad, not just exo stans, because it looked like melon clearly rigged it and their stance was grasping at straws by saying it was internal data. they said that their data was different and then when they released it, it showed that exo had more downloads and streams. up until that point i don't remember anyone mentioning uls with that award lol and i can even admit the gp wasn't listening to bts in 2016 like they are now

da i used to get so defensive about it bc that was such a big deal for bts but i think if it was flipped nowadays i would be pissed too so i get it. it was sketchy buuuuut 🤷‍♀️

yeah, but we're talking about an award show in 2016 not the future. it attracted some non-fans listening to it but bts weren't big with the gp yet
