idk if i can explain this well but i read something a while ago about why this is really popular with young girls (particularly as a phenomenon in asian countries iirc) and it's because women are so sexualized all the time a lot of young girls feel uncomfortable reading about women in a sexual situation even in the most female-friendly story. so like by including only 2 men, the situation is more removed from yourself and less personal because you don't share a biology with the characters, so it feels safer in a way

and i'll admit that i have had the same experience especially as someone who suffered verbalized sexual abuse when i was going through puberty and it took me a LONG time to feel comfortable with my body or the female body in general (because i was basically shamed for my body at a really sensitive time). so reading about two men was a way to experience something sexual without feeling uncomfortable

i don't think it's a stretch to say a lot, if not the majority, of women go through something similar even if it's not so extreme. the world really sexualizes women to a disgusting length and women are constantly shamed about their bodies. and i know it's easy to say "love yourself" but that's not so easy for a lot of people, and it's a shame that people have decided to attack girls for reading something that just is more comfortable for them and honestly not harming anyone
