found out something interesting, my aunt is a vet and we were talking about the football players kneeling during the anthem and she was going on a rant about how people keep saying it's soooo disrespectful to vets when any other time they don't care about them at all

so during her rant she revealed that the national anthem being played isn't even a thing that is required to happen. it only happens because the military pays billions of dollars to have it done as a weird recruiting technique that they don't even know works because there is no research on it. So all these people are mad because people are respectfully protesting during something that was never required in the first place
