this comment nailed it everything he likes about her is what she does for him. he may as well just say his favourite thing about her is himself which isn't to say that it's inappropriate to talk about what someone does for you on their birthday, but amid the "i love how you make me laugh" also throw in "i love how passionate you are about your (hobby) and seeing you achieve great things" or whatever
