i looked at the planners that were suggested and i think it's different from writing lists and using online planners, because you see the 24 hours and the whole week at the same time. when you have bad working memory and executive function issues, you have to externalise those things. a detailed planner is supposed to help with starting things. just knowing it in your head is not enough. when you start cgt they will probably tell you the same as a lot of adhd related therapy is about planning. when you have trouble starting things, it's supposed to help to write down tasks in small steps in a time table. medication can help with starting things and prioritizing but for me the side effects are not worth it.
